7 bushel bagger compatible with X475 w/ 54" deck?

I am curious what the 7 bushel collection system cost new and if it will work with this tractor / deck combination. Fellow down the street has a smaller 300 series and is selling this for $200. I thought the price might be good. Any thing to look out for on this unit?

I use to have an X485 with the 7 bushel powerflo bagger (two bags), but with the 48" deck. However, they sold it for the 54" as well. IIRC, they went new for about $1,200-$1,250. but you could check at the JD configurator site. It should work with your X475 and 54" deck.

Edit: Just saw the current owner has a 300 series LT. In that case, you may need new / different mounting hardware.

Thanks, I wish I could find a configurator for this mower and this exact part. It does mention that it is compatible, but no mention about what mounting parts may be required. The specification for the bagger mentions the x300 and the x500 series only. I called a local dealer and they seem to be lost, and I was asking them what the NEW part would cost and what would fit.

He is going to a mulch deck kit instead, I am just going to use it for leaves, his grass is too heavy and he does not want to dump clippings.

I would suggest a visit to your local JD dealer's parts department, and look in the books to see what mounting parts are different, and which of the parts unique to the X475 could still be ordered. Based on the way the configurator is structured, it appears that there were differences. Good luck.
