7 pin trailer plug for john deere 566 baler

How do you install the 7 pin male plug on the 566 round baler to hook up the Hazzard lights? I found 2 wires in the wire harness that are not hooked up but I expected there would be more. I also don't know if those wires are the right wires anyway and the manual is no help.

Probably have to get into the electrical section of the baler service manual.

try using a volt meter to measure the output - then, use a 12v battery to check those two wires to see if they are the ones you need. I would connect the negative from the battery to the chassis/frame of the baler and check the wires one at a time before I used them both at the battery.

Ditto what RickB stated. What exactly are you attempting to accomplish? Did factory 7 way on baler get destroyed? IIRC 7 way on baler would plug into 7 way on pickup and warning lights/turn signals will operate correctly.

I can't find the 7 way on the baler, not even anything that looks like it was tore off. The 2 wires I found according to the schematic appears to be a power and neutral wire. I have not been able to explore any further yet as I've been too busy but hopefully tomorrow I'll have time.

Should have answered the rest of your question, my goal is to have the lights work on the baler as I have to travel rt 20 and a few other roads to get to the fields and back and it is a fairly busy road here. My tractors have the 7 pin round outlets which are different than the 7 pin flat outlets you'd see on trucks.

On your baler it sounds as if male elect connector(parts key 20) assembly has disappeared. JD male plug is the same as Petersons 5407P plug.

I can't find where it should have actually connected into the wire harness. All the wires are in flexible conduit so to trace everything is going to require considerable time. Do you know how or where the 7 pin plug was suppose to tie into the harness? I don't know anyone local with a baler like this to look over. I'm going to be at the Deere dealer tomorrow so I hope to know what I will need to get the lights working but at least it isn't anything that will keep me out of the field.
