7040 suhd How to remove hood??????

How do I get the hood off this tractor, I know how to lift it but that does not give me much access to the engine. I was grading today and blew the hose loose that goes from the turbo to the intake manifold and need to get it back together so I can bale hay in the morning.

are you sure you have to remove the hood? it is a 2 person job, look to see how to unhook the dampeners...pretty good job, i had to do it alone and used the fel for assistance. be careful not to drop & skin up the paint! sorry couldn't be more help

Big Bubba, thanks for the quick response.


This one just has a single damper and if you unhook it and raise the hood anymore it will interfere at the hinge/mount. It looks like I have to pull the dash shroud to get to the bolts that hold the hinge/mount for the hood.
