My rig goes back to the '80s and has 2700 hours on it. Going forward and reverse is becoming more difficult.....it acts as though a pressure relief valve is stuck open or fluid is bypassing somewhere. It really howls sometimes when rpms are up and I try moving the selector from reverse to forward. What might be my order of things to look for? I'll start with the screen in the hydraulic line. I don't look forward to rebuilding anything and hope it is something simple and stupid.

Clean both screens. Replace the fluid and filter. That should improve performance.

Back to work on my B7100HST....screens were very dirty and the drain plugs below the axles yielded pretty nasty stuff....thanks for the reply
