I don't have the year of the tractor, but there is one listed in the local paper with 285 hours on it. Hydrostatic, 20hp. $10,000 or best offer. Seems a bit high to me, but I thought I'd post and get your opinions.
Having shopped those a year ago I would say that's about par if it has the deck. I just saw one last month with 160hrs HST FEL and deck for $11K. I would make a low offer and see what happens. Cubs don't have much resale interest. Now if it was a Kubota the guy could probably get a profit on his original investment!
Yardster, that sounds a little high but if it is in good shape, probably worth it. I'm with Outlander, if you are interested start low. I don't believe the Cubs bring the money for resale like the other tractors but it is just as good a tractor. The link below used to have used prices but they have changed the site and I couldn't find it easily. By the way what part of So. Me are you located?
The Cub 7205 was mfg for Cub Cadet by Mitsubishi in Japan. That tractor is now being sold as the Mahindra 2015 HST. The only difference in the tractor itself is the color. The loaders are different though... I believe the Cub loader was made by Woods.
It might help if you were to find out what a new 2015 HST is going for in your area. It also might give you some leverage when bargaining on the Cub... "Well, I don't know. I can get a brand new one for x dollars..."
Thanks for the info guys. I've always been a fan of the Cub Cadet tractors, especially the ones made in the 90's. I think I'm going to pass on this though and hold out for something else.
