I put my Cub on the market this weekend (CT). I'd like to get about 10K for it with the Koyker FEL, 60" King Kutter rotary mower, and an old rusty 60" blade. Does this sound about right for a 1995 tractor in very good condition with 630 hrs?

I'm not sure what it is worth, but, you could look at Machinery Link and at the bottom of the page there is a used tractor price guide. That should get you in the ballpark.

The part about an old rusty rear blade should sell it if nothing else! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks for the info on Machinerylink.com. That's kinda what I've been hoping to find. I guess it's priced about right with the FEL. If I had a digital camera I'd post a picture of it. Thanks again.

Ronster, why are you getting rid of your Cub and how has it worked for you? I've got the same tractor but a lot less hours. Just being a nosey TBNer.

I've got 3.5 acres, and have cleared it and done all the heavy work I think I need to do. So I've decided to step down to a lighter weight tractor that will be easier on the lawn. I'm looking pretty hard at the Kubota B7610 and the B7800. They are about 1200-800 lbs lighter and have HST trannys. By the way, what type of tire do you use on your 7234? If my tractor needs anything, it would be a new set of sneakers. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ronster mine has turf tires and are still in good shape. They are the 41 inch ones on the rear, I think they were normally on the 727x models. The tires are still in good shape but I might think about the R4's when and if I wear them out. Did you ever have any trouble with your clutch? Mine won't adjust according to the book and there is no adjustment left. I'm hoping it doesn't leave me high and dry sometime. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The B7800 looks like a nice tractor you should like it. I like the weight of the Cub and so far hasn't caused any lawn damage.

I just started another post today about my rear turf tires. I can't find the exact size in an R4. I'll go to a local tire guy tomorrow and see what he says. I did see Titan turf tires on the internet in 41x14.00-20 for about $250 each, and the fronts were about $100. No problems with the clutch so far. Do you have shop manuals? If you don't, I can look in mine and see if there's something in them that might help you out.

Ronster, Yes I have the shop manual but it doesn't give me any more info. I took it to the dealer who since has gone out of business before the Warranty ran out and he agreed the adjustment was off but couldn't figure why. I believed he called Cub about it. His method of checking to see if it was ok was to drive it into a pile of dirt and try to get it to slip or stall and it did neither. He then declared it ok, but I've never really felt it was because you can't really adjust it.

I assume your clutch is the same as mine, push in half way to change gears, and all the way in for the PTO. Never really had to mess with mine though. Fixed my hazard light switch today. One Cub dealer wanted $101 for it and another wanted $85. I couldn't believe it! It's just a lousy little push on - push off switch. Went to Radio Shack and got a $2 switch. Works fine and looks better than the original. Everything Mitsubitshi sells seems to be double the price of a similar Kubota part.

The price problem is probably not Mitsu but MTD/Cub. I have owned a couple of the Chrysler/Eagle Mitsubishi vehicles and the parts from the Chrysler shop are 40-60% higher than the same parts from the Mitsu store. I suspect it is the same with Cub. Email some of the Mitsu parts vendors on this board and see if they can fix you up. When it comes to buying parts from MTD I am at the avoid them at all cost stage.
