We ordered parts to maintain our tractor, and the serviceman said we need an air cleaner element. So all we have is the tube with the fan-folded paper inside it. It seems to me that we really needed the air cleaner assembly, as I cannont figure out how to get the old paper cleaner off of the old assembly. Anyone know? Or should we return this, and buy the whole assembly? Thanks!

He may have sold you the wrong air filter element. There are two differentair filter set ups on the 7235 depending on your serial number. Likely he sold you MA-35460501800 and you need MA-10300511200.
