730 extra bolt

I have a 730 diesel electric start that I'm working on, it was taken apart a year ago and I got the gear covers on on both sides. We found this bolt sitting behind a couple parts we had on the shelf and it had to come off the tractor. I obviously overlooked something but I can't find where this bolt went if anyone can reconize can you tell me where it goes. Its a 7/16 bolt. Thanks in advance

Give us some ideas what part of the 739 you had apart.. gear covers off on both sides?? any more pics of the tear down?

Have you been following a service tech manual or looking in jdparts?

What is the length?

We are rebuilding the motor had both gear covers off and had the block out, took crank and bearings out, etc. We have the IT book for it but that isn't a huge help. The bolt is four inches long. I know this bolt goes in the motor area somewhere. I looked at the parts diagrams on Deere's website but I could not find a bolt like this one.

I took the cover off the right side to try and see if I could find where the bolt goes.

End of the harmonic balancer.....maybe? The fold over lock makes me thing it's someplace prone to vibration loosening..........Mike

There is a bolt that size, and special washers, but doubt that is what you missed installing. But it fits the size..

So it was in fact that bolt just got it back in today we've had other stuff come through the shop so that's been keeping me busy. In the hole for the bolt there was a set of threads at the end and I had a bolt sitting here that had a washer on it and it guess I didn't think it through. But thanks for the help on it. This tractor is almost like a jigsaw puzzle, partially because we took it apart a year ago. Thanks again for the help here guys
