This is a follow-up question to my post 7308 FEL, standard bucket vs heavy duty bucket .

For 7308 FEL owners, which bucket do you have, standard or heavy duty? If you have the standard one, do you regret it? What is the price difference? Thanks.

I have the standard bucket that I had the dealer box in the upper edge as well as weld on three hooks. Works fine for me. However, if I had it to do over again, I would have gotten the Quick Attach set up with a HD bucket.

We sell all of ours with hd bucket and edge just as standard equipment. The ld bucket is not much to talk about.

We only sell the HD bucket and offer the bolt on cutting edge to the customer as a option. After explaining the differences people can really see why it is worth the extra $ for the bucket.

Mosey, what are you up to? Did you find a home for your Bush Hog FEL? Are you going to fo with the skid steer quick-attach again?

Just curious,
Spence

Well I'll go against the grain here. I have a standard bucket and am very happy with it. I welded a couple of chain hooks with reinforcement to it and it's done all that I've asked of it.

I realize that each person has different needs and wants, and the earth here doesn't have large rocks and is relatively soft. I also can't remember how much more the HD bucket weighs than the standard one is but that will detract from the lifting capacity of the loader by the difference.

Well, I would highly recommend the HD bucket. But thats just me. I have the HD bucket, and granted I do work it hard, I STILL have a few dings in it already at 70 hours. Looking closely at the HD bucket, I am VERY impressed with how it was built. When they say heavy duty, they mean HEAVY DUTY.. Also, I have a toothbar. Best 299.00 I have invested on the tractor besides the loader itself. Good luck!

I'm still trying to track down the difference in the weight. Anybody out there know what it is? I was told about $80 difference in the price, but the dealer didn't know the difference in the weight.

Danny, the 60 in. bucket weighs 211 lbs vs. 240 for the HD and the 68 in wieghs 237 vs 256 for the HD. These weights are from the State of MN contract pages. Bill C

Thanks Bill. That's about 30 lbs more for the 60", which seems about right for what other folks are saying is the difference between the two, which is some extra bracing around the sides and top of the bucket.
