7360ss water temp sensor?

Fighting glow plug issues again. About 40 degrees this morning. 12 volts is only supplied to the plug for less than one second and the light goes out and the voltage stops. I want to check the water temp sensor and it appears there are two in the thermostat housing. One is probably for the temp gauge, one is for the glow plug module.

The one on the left (to the rear of the engine) reads 0.000 ohms and the one on the right (front of engine) reads about 1450 ohms.

I guess I could run it, and unplug them one at a time and see when the gauge on the dash goes to cold?

I'm assuming the one on the left is probably the glow plug sensor since the gauge appears to be working?

If anyone knows what the glow plug water temp sensor should ohm out to, I'd appreciate knowing that also.

I don't know what it should ohm out at but my wiring diagram shows the one to the glow plug timer has a yellow/white wire. You can check the sensor by putting it in a pan of water on the stove with a ohm meter hooked up and heating to see if it's working.

Thanks. I'll check it out tomorrow. Yup, I found a wiring diagram online also. I tried pulling the wire(s) off both and cycling the key. The relay kicks in for less than one second no matter if the sensor(s) are plugged in or not. I'll keep checking. Hate to buy a $50+ sensor and throw parts at it. On another thought, I do need to pull the bus bar off the glow plugs and ohm them out. The originals are still in there. I guess I have a nifty $110 replacement glow plug relay if I should ever need it.
