750 JD boken tach cable?

Hello all - I have a mid 80s 750. been a great tractor and everything works, except for the tach/hour meter. they worked when i got it, but broke sometime last year. it's not a huge deal except for my OCD. I assume that this model has a cable driven tach and that it has broken, but i have no tech/service manual for it, so i'm looking for some help there. any one have the parts diagram, any ideas what to check, how hard a job it is to replace? thanks

Have you been to jdparts.com to look at the diagrams? Should help, if you have not.
Free registration and just go in with model number.. follow along. (no extra time, or I'd look now for you)

thank you for that. going to call the dealer tomorrow and see if they have one/can get one. if not i will order from that site. it's definitely a broken cable, original lasted almost 1000 hours and 20+ years.
