I just sold my 7500 and am going to buy a new tractor. I am looking at the 7510 and 7610. Is the extra 1K for the 7610 worth it?

If I had to choose between the 2 tractors I would get the B7610 for
only $1000 more:)

I just sold my 2005 B7510HST. i would buy the 7510 again. the machine exceeded my expectations.

if i wanted more- i would go to the 7800 to gain the additional lift height on the FEL.

For mowing with a MMM, it probably doesn't make any difference. If you plan to use the rear PTO to run a tiller or snowblower or...whatever you'll find that the B7610's 18 PTO HP is at the low end of what's acceptable on many implements. That being the case, the B7510 with 16 PTO HP, would be considered inadequate...though it would probably work.

I'd go with the B7610 for the extra flexibility in choosing implements and for insurance against kicking myself in the future for going too light on the HP. You'll probably get most of your $1000 back down-the-road when it comes time to sell.

DVR's comment on FEL lift height makes alot of sense. The B7510/7610 FELs are both vertically challenged. If the B7800 isn't too big/expensive, it might make more sense than either of the smaller tractors.

If it's your only tractor then go for the extra hp. Just like already said the pto hp will put you into bigger implements.

i don't think you can ever have "too much power."
i do think you can pay too much for it. the price difference (quoted by the original poster of $1000) from the 7510 to the 7610 is just more than i would spend. i say this after owning a 7510 with a FEL and a 4ft bush hog.

when i started my search i was set on a b7610. i considered it a perfect balance of size/power. i found a good deal on a 7510 and bought it thinking (knowing) it would be underpowered. the tractor made good use of all 21hp. it was a great tractor, well built and trouble free. i am sure you would be pleased with either.

it is really an easy decision- did your b7500 have enough hp to suit your needs? would 2 additional pto hp have made any difference?
if you feel the need for more power than your 7500 the upgrade to a 7610 will likely fall short.

I had the B-7510 and I agree with the statement of if you need more HP than the 7510, go with the 7800. $1000 is wayyyyy too much to pay for the small pto hp gained by going with the 7610. Buy a nice implement instead!!!

Comparing the MSRP from the Kubota '07 Wholegoods Price List (that was linked to here in PDF form awhile back), the difference between the basic tractors is $885.

This doesn't seem unreasonable when you consider:
The B7610 will handle the stronger LA352 loader
Besides 3 more HP, you get 7 more engine cu. inches and the extra torque that go with it (the difference isn't just an injector pump tweak)
The $885 will be reduced by whatever discount you get from the dealer (15% off both tractors will reduce the difference by 15%)
You get bigger rear tires (11.2-16 vs. 9.5-16) which will carry more fluid

Of course the difference will be greater if you come upon a B7510 that a dealer is trying to get rid of. My local dealer spoke of a B7510 turf special that he had a hard time moving and had to sacrifice.

The MSRP of the B7800 is $1730 more than for the B7610. Well worth it IF the larger B7800 isn't too big.

Why did you get rid of your 7500? I was just wondering because i have one and love it. I have a MMM for mine and done away with my lawn mower. I have 184hrs on it.
