Thanks to all who responded to me this last couple of weeks. Pulled the trigger today on the Turf Special with 60" MMM and the L302 Loader. Didn't really see much difference between the L272 and the L302 and only $250 more so I figured that I would regret not buying the L302 for years afterwood if I didn't get it now. Total out the door was $12,750.00. A heck of a deal I thought.
On the way down I stopped at the Deere dealer and drove a 790 with Turf Tires and just didn't do it for me. The 790 is a very nice size and is smaller than the L2800, but best price I could get on one was $14400 with the 300 loader, Turf tires and no mid pto. I thought that I was paying for the name as no shuttle shift, just an old style stick shift, no hydro, and took us 10 minutes to unfreeze the parking brake as really cold outside. Tough to drive one of these with the stop, shift, stop, shift, stop, shift..... Mixed with my bad experience with my JD STX hood and poor dealer interaction with the local dealers I went with Kubota. Both are made in Japan anyway. JD guys, not trying to start an argument, just stating my experience with deere hasn't been great. Kubota guys are pretty nice.
I will post some photos and comments on removing the MMM as I have to do some loader work when it is delivered and will need the extra clearance. Thanks Again
