Hello all,
Still have not pulled the trigger on a new tractor, but with Mahindra's new financing options (4.99) that may move me off of center. With the economy in the dumps I am kind of wondering where the 7520 & 6520's are built? Are they build in Calhoun, GA? When looking at a tractor is there a way I can check to find out what plant built it?

Thanks,
Doug

Some assembly may take place there, but the "big" Mahindras are built in India...BobG in VA

Where are you located? ( I have not checked your profile yet) That will give me a good idea whether final assembly was in Calhoun or Houston. As Bob said, they they are actually "built" in India and final assembly takes place state side. The loaders are built in the USA though. :D

My Mahindra 5525 (54 hp engine, 45 hp pto, 2WD) was built in India. The ML250 FEL (6-ft bucket) was built by Buhler/BII Fargo in North Dakota.

Located in southern, IL. I am as far away from Chicago you can get and still be in Illinois. Actually, where I am located, I often shop in states that border Illinois (South East MO and western KY). Anna, IL. Looking to get a 7520 or the 6520 with FEL to replace my 1965 Ford 4000 ;-)

I would recommend the 7520 4wd. For a very small additional cost you get morehp, biggertires@wheels [if you go with ags], 2speed pto, much more hydraulic capacity, and greater 3pt lift capacity.:D

It gets cold where you are at right? Wait for a bit and get a 7060 or 8560. Cabbed versions of the 7520. Should be a very nice machines.

Do you have any specs on those? With the added load of an A/C compressor they may have reduced the hyd capacity to prevent overloading the cam gear.

No specs, just that they are listed in the finance section of the Mahindra website. I would think (hope) that they would have made improvements in the engine and radiator for these tractors. I think that they have already made other improvements on the 7520 as well.

Larry, did you ever have over heating issues? Mine has continued to run warmer and warmer. 1st year could hardly get it to warm up, I'm sure that it got to thermostat temp and that was it. 2nd year about the same, maybe a little warmer. 3rd year it would run warm when working it hard and would flat out peg the gauge when it was hot outside. This year it has been in the middle of the gauge with only light work and goes up from there. I have an infrared thermometer, maybe I will check it out tomorrow and see what it really is.

Sorry for the change of topic, back to the 8560, sure do wish that Mahindra would get that thing out for sale, and there new 45 hp tractor as well. Would like to at least see some specs on these machines. But I guess that Mahindra doesn't want to get them out without all the bugs worked out ahead of time unlike some other manufacturer that had put their machines out a bit premature. I suppose that time will tell.

Thanks for the heads up on the other tractors. I would like to have a cab and I am in no rush. Got most everything I need to get done for the year. May as well go ahead and sell my 4000 and make room for my new one. Just won't feel right not having a tractor for a few months
