Hello all, Ive been lurking for a while and I am ready to pull the trigger on a new 7520 4WD.I have a few questions for you 7520 owners. I was on the lot looking at the tractor the other day trying to find the dip stick for the engine oil and had a terrible time finding it. After I found it, I really had a hard time getting it out to check the oil, really hard and cumbersome. Is this normal or do I just not know the method. It really bothered me that the dip stick was in such an akward place. One other thing was the shuttle shifter seemed like it was out of adjustment. You had to lean forward to get it to engage, was just wondering if you could adjust the position of the shifter. Other than that I am really impressed by this tractor. Sorry this is so long, but this is a major decision and I wanted to get your thoughts, thanks in advance.

Not sure why you had a problem with the engine oil dipstick, mine unscrews and is actually small and easy to remove. Did you remove the side panel? It is much easier with the side panel removed. In fact I have never checked my oil without removing the side panel.

I have not had any problems with any of my shifters, but I would think that the shuttle shifter could be adjusted if it were needed. The 7520 is a very good machine and if you do get one I think that you will be happy with it.

Good luck:)

RustyJeep,
My 6520 is the same as the 7520 but with a little smaller tires and no turbo (different engine). I don't pull the side panel to check the oil. I always turn the tires to the left on shut down. That way I can squat down and reach the dipstick without having the right front tire crowd me.
For the shuttle shifter, pull your seat forward and tilt the steering wheel forward a bit if needed.:D
hugs, Brandi

Unfortunately for me, I only just turned 200 hours. One of the drawbacks, or advantages of having more than one tractor.;)

Rustyjeep, I hear what youre saying about the shuttle shifter. I adjusted mine as much as the adjuster will allow -- not much. Iam thinking about making an offset key to reorient the shift lever on its shaft, but am doing the lean forward trick now. I can use the excercise! I have 275 hrs or so on mine. Still trying to put all warranty problems and delivery omissions to rest after a year and a half.
