7532 Filters

I'm looking for a place to get a hydrostatic transmission filter from someplace other than Cub Cadet. The prices of these OEM Mitsubishi filters is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NAPA has all the other filters, except the transmission filter. Has anyone found a place?

The engine oil filter cost $36 from Cub but $9 for a NAPA gold. The OEM filter can't possibly be $27 better.

By the way, love the tractor. The only problem is the price of these filters.

Did you try some of the filter websites to cross the numbers to a different brand? Wix, Purolator and others have filter cross references on their sites. Your NAPA gold filters are made by Wix.

Thanks for responding! I've tried every filter company I can think of, they only have the oil filter at a lower price, and no one I've found, makes the hydrostatic filter. I was wondering if anyone else found another company to buy these from.

Don't get me wrong, the tractor is great, I'd recommend it to anyone. But the price of the filters is a little disconcerting.

Did you try Donaldson or Fleet Guard? I did a bunch of cross referencing and checking for an air filter for my 7234 Cub and found that the air filter was used in a Kubota, I believe it was made by Donaldson. I posted pictures at the time and I think it was about $20+ for the Kubota and $80+ for the CC OEM.

I did the cross ref to another brand and bought the best, it was still way way less than the cub filter......when I put it on and started it up the tractor wouldnt move. RATS!!!! Called the dealer and they said put a cub filter on and it will fix the problem. I bit the bullett and bought the "gold" priced one, put it on and alls well. I really dont know why, but I guess you have to use their filter.
