Been looking for a cash tractor for awhile and looked at many.

I like the 955/855 and worried 755 will not do with a 4' bush hog since only rated at 15pto?
Found a clean 755 with 700hs FEL and 60" deck.
Asking 7k. I may use it 30-40 hrs a yr if that.
Thoughts? I know these are good old tractors but should I hold out for a 855/955 which are so hard to come by in good shape w/o spending more then a modern tractor.
He's checking on the yr and said all new hoses last yr.

How many acres are you planning to mow and how thick and tall is the vegetation?

That mid mount mower looks like a finish mower. If you keep the grass cut, I suppose it would cut 60" of lawn grass at a normal tractor ground speed of about 4-5 mph.

I will not use it for mowing I have a zero turn and other mower for that.
Just need to know if a 4' bush hog will work for scrubs and such.
Seen youtube guys using the heck out of bush hogs on these things.
*****Also, can the mid mover deck lift cylinder be used for a single circuit control like Add a Grapple on top of FEL instead of trying to find or install diverter? Has anyone thought of that? Flow rate is only 5.6gpm

Being it is HST transmission, it will handle the 4' brush hog no problem. Been there, done that.
Looks like a good investment with the apparent condition and low hours.

Are you going to be happy with that small of a tractor? You have been looking at much larger tractors. The lift on that is only about 700lbs.

Yes, it will run a 4FT brush mower just fine. The Yanmar sibling machines in the same ratings do this as well. And if you like, the JD755 can run with a 4FT rotary tiller too.

I had a JD4100 and used a 4’ rotary cutter on it for years. That machine had only 20 engine HP, and I’m assuming similar pto HP to the 755. However, most of what I cut was tall tough native grass and weeds and light brush. No heavy brush or sapling trees.
