I'm looking @ a used 757B hoe for my 1720 I just purchased and was wondering if it's a good fit? I've seen them on 1320's and 1620's so I assume the 1720 should have no problem carrying/running the hoe:) Does anyone have any specs on the hoe. I tried searching, but did not find any info on the 757B:confused:
Also am I able to run the hoe off the factory rear remotes already installed on my machine??
Something like this (pic courtesy of jinman:cool: )

I had a 757 on my 1710 and it worked fine. My was plumbed into as a power beyond setup.

ok, I got it home on Sat. and apart from one leaking swing cylinder and a couple of loose pins, I think it'll serve me well for years to come:D

grainger12002, thanks for the offer, but this one was sooo much closer;) If I knew how to plumb the hydro I would have been digging holes by Sat. afternoon:D

I took some pics of my hydro set up, and am still wondering how to plumb the hoe into the system.
This is the loader valve, three lines from the manifold block, four out to the loader

and two spare ports on the loader valve (could these be used for "in"/"out" or at least "out")?

or should I use the rear remote already installed on the tractor:confused:

that comes off this "valve" in the right wheelwell

I'm trying to work around buying the power beyond kit, get it hooked up ASAP, and get to work:)
any tips much appreciated;)

First of all, Welcome to TBN and congratulations on your purchases! :D

I know your trying to avoid spending alot to get the BH up and running, but to make life a lot easier installing and uninstalling your BH, I recommend purchasing a modified cover plate for your rear manifold pictured in the 6716.jpg photo. Woods makes a kit for the NH's that will work on other BHs as well. It replaces that cover plate and includes QCs. My NH dealer is also a Woods dealer and quoted me $268 for the kit.

The options as I see them are use your rear remotes, modify the rear manifold cover plate, or tap into the FEL's power beyond circuit. From your photos you'd be spending some bucks and brain cells tapping into the FEL controller and the forward hyd manifold/diverter valve and fitting a QC plus still having to tap into the rear manifold. The kit is simple and the end result is simple too. Compared to the FEL mods the $ diff with the kit wouldn't be much.

thanks MadDog:cool:
Do you have a part# for the woods kit, or should the dealer know what I'm talking about?
Also, what is the difference between the modified Woods plate and what's on my tractor already (pic 6717)?? Is the only difference the fact that with the Woods plate you have a steady flow of fluid as opposed to engaging the flow with the rear remote lever? I'm fairly new to the hydro world and just trying to understand what does what? :D

The Woods hose kit that I have for my TC40DA with a 16LA fel and BH90-X is kit #1021867. Your photo 6716 appears similar to mine eventhough you have a 1720, but I would recommend checking with your dealer to make sure.

Where are you located? Updating your profile will help many of us help you.

Edit: Oops, sorry didn't answer your other question. The photo 6717 is your remote QCs. 6716 is your rear hyd manifold and is the source for your rear remotes as well as capable of providing power beyond to your BH. The cover plate would be replaced with the Woods kit for example (or another suitable one) that allows the power beyond. Your BH hydraulics would connect to the kit QCs not the rear remotes. I took your photo and photoshopped it to help explain.

I am not a hydraulics expert by any means (re: MadReferee, may God rest his soul) and there are others on TBN that can explain this much better than I, but I'll try. Your BH (like your FEL) needs a continuous flow of hyd pressure to operate. When connected in a power beyond setup and you aren't using the BH, the hyd fluid is still flowing through the BH while the engine is running. Tapping into the rear manifold with the proper cover plate, enables you to access that power beyond flow. If you were to connect your BH to the rear remote (photo 6717) you would need to have your remote handle permanently extended (in the CORRECT position) to enable continuous hyd pressure to flow for your BH to operate. As stated elsewhere, if you accidently reverse the flow into your BH, then you can blow out seals within the BH. BAD!!

Does this help?

Thanks for taking the time to explain this little tidbit to me:cool:
That makes sense....and is what I thought too, but it's always nice to be reassured:) For now, I'll run the hoe off the remotes (since my lever has a position lock on it, there's no way of accidentaly reversing the flow;) ) and when I fab up a hydro thumb for the hoe, then run the powerbeyond plate, free up my remotes and run the thumb from them and the hoe off the plate.
Let the diggin' begin.... :D :D

Also, is the plate grooved at all at the back? from the pics it looks pretty straight forward, a plate with six holes machined and two fittings:rolleyes:

Looks great !! If you need any pics, just ask ,my hoe is off but I can put it on easy enough. Its very easy to take on and off,you will be very happy. It works great too.

Good luck with it and just ask if you want a pic or two !!
