I haven't been able to get grease through the zerk of the lower swing cylinder bearing (item #16 pg. page 14 lube chart 2003 NH 758C backhoe Op. Manual). I removed the zerk, sprayed hole w./B Blaster and used a round file handle to clean out the hole some. I did the same on upper fitting #15 and found that the probe went in deeper than #16. Maybe the hole into the #16 bushing is not lining up with the zerk hole aka. a rotated bushing. I read a post on a heavy equipment forum "worse case scenario could be that your bushings have turned. then the holes don't line up. one method for this is to remove the pin and zerk, then drill through the zerk hole and through the bushing. then reassemble." Anyone know if this is a good way to proceed? I don't know how to disassemble the bushing to realign the holes. Maybe just working the swing and applying continuous grease gun pressure might find the bushing hole. Anyone had this problem?
