I recently purchased a new TC34DA, 14LA FEL & 758C BH. I notice when using the BH that there are sounds of wrenching metal seeming to come from the undercarriage of the BH. It only does it when putting downforce on the dipperstick and crowding the bucket, just when there is a lot of force being exerted on the BH. Is it possible that the guys at the dealer did not get all the bolts tight, or is this normal? MY neighbor who operates all types of loaders and backhoes says dont pay any attention to it. Whats you all thoughts?

Also, I want to buy a tooth bar for my 68" quick attack bucket. If you plan to do casual digging is it worth the 500.00?

Thanks for looking and hopefully responding.

I have a much smaller version of your hoe, the 756C. It is basically the same design, etc. It makes some noises that makes me think that something bad it about to happen. Not to worry, listen to your neighbor....keep running it. There is a little bit of play on the surface areas where the hoe mounts and so the noise is normal.

It may be nothing, but it is good practice to periodiaclly inspect your equipment for loose or missing hardware. Check to see that both mid mount pins are in place, and check the attaching hardware at the rear of the subframe including that for the diagonal bracing. The guys who are telling you "just run it" don't have anything to lose when something comes completely apart and gets trashed. It's time to make the step from 'driver' to 'operator'.

Prolly the bolts came lose between the backhoe and the subframe. Sometimes the bolts on the stabilizer bars are coming lose a bit too. Happens to mine once in a while. Tighten up bolts and way you go. Nuttn maijor. Should check the bolts anyway once in a while. ;)

:) Thanks for all the feedback. I will check to see that all the bolts are tight and pins were in. They installed the 758C in a hurry while I waited (4 hrs) since I live quite a distance from the dealer and did not want to make 2 trips. Wouldn't surprise me if they left something loose.
