I'm thinking the weight of the sod is a little too lite. Around here sod pallets weigh about 2000-2500lbs.

Yes, you are right! I finally got to talk to the one guy at the sod farm that knows anything. He said 1800 lbs. Not that it matters, 'cause he also said his truck is broke. So I have to go and pick it up on a trailer, two at a time. I won't have to move it with the tractor. I can pull the trailer to where it's needed. I'll have to make two trips, but my consolation prize is that I save the $100 delivery fee. Which all things considered may be the easiest solution anyway.
