7XXX Series Starter Problem - Again

   / 7XXX Series Starter Problem - Again #11
Wow, Duke you must be an Engineer! :D I started getting confused with Normally Open/Normally closed, etc. I thought I was sitting in an Aircraft Systems Class! So the bottom line is either relay will work but the RS one is cheaper obviously. What was the Part Number of the RS one you bought? I need to convert my Cub as well but I haven't really had to much trouble starting it. Glad it all went well for you.

Okay, busted. I am an engineer working for an aerospace company.

The part is identified as "12VDC/30A SPST Automotive Relay" part number 275-226, and lists at $6.79 The package just said "Auto Relay" and is a 12VDC relay rated at 30 amps, with a 7.8 VDC pull-in voltage and a 3.X drop-in voltage. Pics and diagrams are available through email upon request.

Thanks Duke. I'll probably pick one up soon before I get to much snow here. I was afraid it would be a nightmare tracking down the wires and wripping apart the dash to get to the ignition switch. Have a good Turkey Day! BTW do you work for Boeing in Mesa?
