I came across this link when I was researching hose to make my own leaf vac.
That stuff is normally spendy.

That is the company I came across friday in a search. Your right it is expensive. Glad I don't need any more than one piece.

Yes it is spendy - I would suggest the clear and urethane so you can see the material if it clogs etc.

I got some replacement hose a few years ago (black with yellow stripe like the first one) from a MA supplier of hose and there were more ridges on the inside than on the existing on mine. I havent put it on yet (ducttaped the old one) so cant tell how this will impact air/material flow.

Yes... I think the ridges on the interior will certainly affect the air flow and volume of debris passing through. Smooth interior surface is the first requirement. 035 or 045 wall should not make too much difference. Urathane also a good choice.

Have you tried woodcraft.com as a source?
They sell vac. hose for shop dust collection.

And also one thing to consider is you must run a ground wire though the hose to reduce the static charge from the vacuum.
I have had alot of experiance with the static, that makes clogging an issue. Thw static makes the vacuum hose sticky on the inside.
It doesn't take much wind velosity to create a static charge.

I ordered a 10' piece from environmental products. I need 7' so there is a piece left over for the storage bin. It should work well. it is clear, 045 thickness, and the interior is not completly flat but close enough. That puts me at a total of two hundred fourty seven dollars for this project. The fancy urathane tubing sure kicked a hole in my budget.
