How does the land wheel work on A little genus plow?

Welcome to the forum. There is a ratchet like set up in there that when tripped the dogs engage and lift or lower the plow using the motion of the plow.

Thank you, I just got the plow. I've never plowed or even seen one of these plows work. I'm going to go through this plow this winter, and plow with it this spring. The tires were rotted off and the caulters are missing. Do you know of anyone selling parts?

Take a look on Ebay. Parts pop up there once and a while. I know of a place that sells parts for them plows but I can not think of the name right now. I will get it to you when I remember. How far are you from Sault Ste Marie? I am just across the Water/border. Any Pictures of the plow?
