80's 7610 Ford

80s 7610 Ford tractor has a Front end loader. Four hydraulic lines go to the rearend.... there are four female connections on the right side, two on the left.. my question is does it matter where I plug the four hydraulic lines in ??

Are you planning to operate the loader from the handles under the seat, or is there a control on the loader?

Handles on the right side next to the seat.. I removed the loader to replace the water pump. Prior to this I had to replace the hydraulic steel line under the seat.... The bucket then wouldn't curl. When I remove the hydraulic lines I checked them and there was air in one. I tagged the lines but oil smugged the markings.. after waiting for parts I couldn't remember if all four hydraulic lines were in the four female connection on the rightside or two on do you left side of the tractor and two on the right side or in what order

How many handles do you have under the seat? If only two, the 3rd pair of hoses are most likely for the Load Monitor circuit. Those will not work for a loader. You could try working the levers while holding your hand on the hoses so you can feel them flex under pressure. This should tell you what hoses go with what spool valves.

Only two handles... no third set of hoses.. There are four hoses coming from the two cylinders on the bucket ... One cylinder to raise and lower One to curl the bucket... the 4 hoses go to the back of the tractor behind and below the seat. Four female connecters on the right two on the left. Two of the lines I assume are return lines the other two feed the hydraulic fluid. I don't know which female connectors they plug-in to...

I guess they are called quick connect. Just have to know if there is a certain order they plug-in. Seems to of the female would be for the return lines Two for preasure

Two of the hoses are for lift lower and will have to be connected to the valve connections on the tractor.

The other two are curl dump. They will have to be connected to the second valve.

I have no idea on which valve feeds which pair of quick disconnects.

I just reread your posts. Am I reading this right? You have 4 quick connects on the right of the tractor and 2 on the left?

It is a bit difficult to answer general questions, because anyone could have done anything with the hydraulic system on that tractor. All couplings on the tractor SHOULD be female. All the ones on the loader should be male.

Doesn't your loader have 2 way cylinders? (down pressure) No hoses will be only "return" or "pressure", they could be either one, depending which way you are pushing the lever.

Yes four on the right two on left.. I do believe the two lines from each cylinder was hooked to the block containing the four quick connects on the right side. I guess then they can be plugged in to anyone Of the female connectors ... when I first hooked it up the bucket would raise a little about a foot then stop.... curl a little and then I could raise it a little more. Kept doing that until fully raised. I lowered the bucket and everything seemed to work. Then had to raise the bucket a little and curl a little. Just figured I had something hooked up wrong. I'll check the fluid again and try again tomorrow. Thank you very much...

You have your lines crossed.
Two quick connects go to each valve.
your two lift hoses connect to one valve,
and your two bucket lines to the other valve.
Once you get the tractor connects figured out and your loader hoses connected, if the operation is reversed from what you want,
swap those two lines.
