855 blowing out hydro fluid

Hi Guys
My 855 compact is blowing the hydro fluid out of breather tube.. When properly filled to line on the dip stick, using the FEL a lot of fluid blows out and then stops with no reading on the dipstick.. It only takes about a half quart to get a good reading but then blows it all out. Whats my problem? Tractor works just fine with low fluid

Did you ever figure out what's going on with your tractor? Just curious. I have a 955 and haven't heard of this problem.

Hi Guys
My 855 compact is blowing the hydro fluid out of breather tube...

I suspect entrained air in the fluid has increased your volume under use. Does
the fluid come out looking foamy? Do the FEL hydraulics seem to perform OK?

The biggest culprit is the rubber intake manifold on the implement pump. It
could also be a loose intake fitting. The problem increases with a semi-clogged
pump inlet screen.

Sounds like you have water in the oil. Does in have a milky color?

No I haven't figured out the problem and not going to worry about it. The tractor is "happy" 1/2 quart low. It has new hydro oil & filter and clean suction screen. The FEL , 3 pt hitch work just fine. I was just checking all the fluids and noticed it was a little low. Fluid is so clear hard to see on the dip but it looks like it's on the middle X in the fill area. I'm not going to worry about it
