Hello, first post here. I'm looking to buy a 2012 mahindra 8560. I've searched all the threads I could find on here about the tractor. I'm trying to get opinions on the reliability of the tractor from those who have owned them. I'm not afraid to work on the tractor, and I have a fair skillset. Are parts readily available? How about electrical and hydraulic schematics? Thanks for your input, I look forward to reading your responses.

I have had no trouble with getting manuals and parts for my 2810. I would expect the same support for all their tractors.

I have a 8560 that gets used.
It is a stout machine, gearing is mechanical so no shift on the go under load.
I disk, plant, 3p sprayer, harvest and mow with it.
Keep clean fresh fuel in tank, service and grease per manual.
Put almost 500 hrs on it without any issue other than fuel line from tank to pump had pinhole that lost prime. Easy fix.
FEL is strong but slow.
Cons-
Uses 2+ gal/hr fuel under load.
Needs more gears for constant speed control (spraying/fertilizer application)
Cab is small but functional.
Condenser coils have to be kept clean for cold AC
(Radiator Genie every 10 hrs)

Good tractor IMHO 20190628_191048.jpeg20190501_135536.jpegView attachment 62999720190902_190343.jpeg20171031_150749_001.jpeg20170730_190107.jpegIMG_0881.jpeg

Thank you for the reviews. I ended up renting the tractor for a week to try it out. So far the only problem I am having is it does not like to start in the cold (30 or below) and it smokes at idle when warmed up. It seems that has to do with pump timing after the advance kicks off. The cold starting I think can be fixed with a block heater. Overall I like the tractor and the capacity coming from a 30hp kubota are amazing.

I have a '03 3510, both tractors are cold natured.
The pre-heat will work if allowed to cycle. Both also smoke on cold starts. Smells like unburned fuel till they warm up. I put a quart of 2-cycle oil, PowerService and Diesel Stabil in 100 gal tank. The new fuel is low sulphur and doesnt lube the fuel pump adequately in my opinion.
I also use battery maintainers on charged batteries that really helps cold starting especially on the 8560.
My tractors, mule and duramax will sit for weeks at a time, maintainers work better for me than block heaters in N MS.

I agree with the fuel additive. Definitely not enough lubrication. I found my manifold heater isnt working. Going to have to get one. Should make a big difference in how the tractor starts cold.

I am actually renting it for a week. The hard starting is my only issue so far. I've had a chance to use the loader quite a bit moving round bales, and I brush hogged some last night. I have a 500 hour kubota 35hp I am trading in. It isnt big enough anymore, but is hard to let go of due to how reliable it had been.

Keep the smaller tractor for the little things, the 8560 is too big for some chores. Keeps hrs low on both machines and increase value.
