bobcat 863c
I have a 863 c with the duetch diesel it was all around weak when I bought it but it worked ok, I recently had the whole pump rebuild and now the wheels have tons of power but the bucket up down and curl are still kinda slow and doesn't seem to have alot of power it will still pick up a bucket of dirt but it wont lift anything heavy I was told that machine should lift the back of truck and it wont . it just stops, the motor doesn't bog or anything it just wont pick it up I would think it should at least lift its own *** off the ground but it wont, the previous owner said bobcat rebuilt the control valve, is there any thing im missing.

Was the work pump rebuilt? What you are describing is a weak work pump or main relief valve. :confused3:

Next step would be a PSI test @ AUX couplers. Should be about 2750 to2950 PSI. If your don't have a gauge or access to one you may want to pull the main relief valve and inspect it. I've seen the spring break and its clearly visible.

just wanted to update it was in fact the main relief valve it was part stuck open had some trash in it from before the pump was rebuilt, I took it back to the guy that did the pump and he said he should have pulled it to double check but did not, but wow its got plenty of power now to pick up its still not super fast up down but that particular year model was not that fast to begin with but thats fine with me i just like having the power to pick up something. Thanks jabonee for the advice you were right .

One other thing to keep in mind if your SSL has the Deutz engine is the timing belt. Deutz recommend it be replaced every 3000 hr or 5 years which ever comes first. That engine will bend valves if the belt fails. The lower belt cover can be removed to take a look at condition and slak.
