Have a 1997 JD 870. PTO can be engaged but the transmission gears cannot be engaged at same time. The trans. gears will go into all 4 gears if the PTO is in neutral. When PTO in any gear (engaged) the Trans. will go into reverse and tractor moves even with the clutch pushed down as far as it will go but it will not go into any forward gear. It has been sitting up without the clutch blocked for about a year. I just bought tractor a few weeks ago and I drove it home (about 2-300 yards only as I bought from a neighbor) but it won't go now. Any suggestions?
