rebuilt the carb yesterday. turns out thats where a lot of my throttle control issues were coming from. sounds pretty good now. took my wife for ride last evening. still need to replace the throttle quadrant. it's worn pretty slick.

you can replace the quad plate or repair via build up. either braze or weld, and then a lil grinding.. plus, the throttle rod that rides the quad has a small steel bearing in it that gets a flat spot. cheap fix is to pry open with a flat blade screwdriver and rotate the BB to a round, then crimp again.. OR.. just put a new BB in.

already ordered the quadrant. not expensive. thanks for info about the bb.
