getting ready to replace throttle quadrant. don't see anything in either book about that. must be self explanatory. also need to know if there's a problem w/ using multi viscosity engine oil. i'm thinking rotella 15/40.

No info on the quadrant replacement, but I've used 20w50 motorcycle oil in my 8n for years. When I pulled the engine down this past spring all the bearings looked like new. I replaced the rings but the old fords with only 2 oil rings are noted for ring wear.

15w40 is a great oil.. I use it in all my gasser tractors now, since I had it on hand for my diesels.
