got a problem with my 8n. seems to be fuel problem. starts fine. idles fine. won't rev up unless i close the choke halfway or more. rebuilt carb this fall. been running fine since then. checked inlet screen, removed carb & checked float setting, i use quality gas with seafoam in it. any ideas?

Needing choke to run is a classic symptom of:

1. Restricted fuel supply - Pull drain on bottom of carb, should have steady flow for at least a minute.

2. Weak spark - Plug should be blue/white with gap opened up to 3/16"

3. Vacuum leak - With engine running, spray WD-40 around intake/block mating area; carb throttle shaft and carb to manifold connection. If engine speeds up, you've found a vacuum leak.

yep.. and needing choke to throttle up deffinately makes me think lean.. either from restriction or leak...
