New Holland TC25D
Hello, I just bought a TC25D which came with a 60" 914A mid mower attachment. The previous owner never had it hooked up properly as the height adjustment arms which connect to the hitch were broken off (a different issue involving some very pricy parts). Anyway, my question is regarding the rear wheels height adjustment. there is a lever which you are supposed to pin corresponding to the height adjustment. Mine is very wrong (see pictures). I can only imagine that this part is either from a different mower deck or someone fabricated it while drunk. Either way I assume I need to fix it so the rear deck can ride or float on those wheels? Don't have all the parts to hook up yet so not sure how it is supposed to ride under the tractor.

Will probably just have to cut/weld it at the correct angle or buy a replacement arm for a cool $300-$400.
Curious what people think is going on with this thing...

Does it appear that either end of the of the tube has been rewelded wrong after having been broken? To me, that is the only way the wheel height adjuster could have ended up in that configuration.

My solution, since I am not a welder, would be to find a rod that fits inside the long tube, cut the tube into 2 pieces, insert the rod, and drill 2 holes on each piece near the cut. On one piece, insert the rod and drill and fasten it with bolts. The other end of the rod will be secured when it is mounted with the right handle angle. Be sure your bolts are nearly horizontal so they don't scrape the deck.

Thanks for the reply, that's a possible solution without welding if room for the pivot with a bolt in there. I was looking at the welds to see if they looked homemade or previously broken and nothing obvious, matching paint, etc. It just baffles me...
