New Holland TC33D
Hey everyone, I am new to the forum. I just purchased a 2001 TC33D that has a 72" 914A MMM. I mowed about 1.5 acres yesterday with no issue. Today I started mowing and immediately shredded a belt. I guess my first question is where is the best place to get a replacement belt. Secondly, when I raise the 3 point all the way up, the right side of the mower deck is about 1.5" higher then the left. I tried adjusting the bolt that sticks out the back with the blue spring, but that did nothing. Is there some sort of adjustment so it comes up level? Finally, does anyone have a digital copy of the manual for this deck? Sorry for all the questions right away, this site is great.

Jason, the handcrank above the right lift arm is used to level implements side-to-side. Use the adjustable toplink to level the implements front-to-back. Both are shown in this photo. The left lift arm has no adjustment, only the right arm has the handcrank. It will move that arm up-down about 6". Oh yes, set the implement on the ground to make adjustments. When the arm is under tension, it is a "bear" to operate the handcrank. Also, the handcrank has two grease zerks that need a shot of grease every now and then to keep the crank working smoothly.

Is this a belly mower or on the three point hitch?? My 914a is a belly mower....but they may make it in a 3 point hitch configuration as well. You can get a replacement belt at the dealership, but before you put it on, I recommend you check the blade spindles and all the pulleys the blade runs on to make sure they turn freely. Otherwise, you may end up buying another belt.

It is a belly mower, but the belly mower still lifts via the hydraulics that lift the 3pt. I checked all blades and spindles last night and everything seems OK to me. I am not sure why the belt shredded, I took some pics and will show them to the tech. Also the deck does not come up level under the tractor, not sure how to adjust. As a side note, the dealer wanted ~$115 for a new belt. THe cross reference for the belt is a B173K which can be bought online for ~$30 plus shipping.

Maybe the belt was just old. I have a '99 tc33d and I am lucky to get 60 hours out of a belt before replacement. I was aware of the hydraulic lift but I guess I misread your post. I have not had a problem with the uneven lifting, so I am no help there. I will look and see if I can make any sense out of it and let you know. If the spindles and pulleys are good order the belt and see if you can live with the uneven lift??

First make sure all your tires are at the right tire pressure. Tire pressure will affect mower heigth, especially with turf tires. For mower deck set-up, first level your 3pt arms measuring to the ground, adjusting the crank on the one arm. If the deck leans one way, the adjustment is the bolts in the rear with the spring. There should be 2 nuts on each to lock together. When lifted all the way up, you should be able to install the clevis pins in the rear deck lift arms to lock the deck in the high position. If it is too high or low, adjust. If you would ever need to adjust the deck front to rear, that adjustment is done on the front lift arm rod that is between the front and rear deck lift arms. My mower deck manual is #86592324

Oops! My brain was taking a nap. Of course, it's a belly mower.

Thanks guys. I ended up buying the belt online for ~$32 as opposed to $115 from NH. The belt I bought was actually listed on the new holland parts diagram for the 914a mower deck.

I know this is an old thread however I wanted to add my recent experience . I had the exact situation. My original belt lasted 450 mowing hours. I went to my NH dealer and picked up a new belt 106.00 and change.. after installation and 4 hours of mowing the belt came apart in the seam.. When I went back to my NH dealer and said I had a defective belt the parts person argued and told me my deck was defective.. NOPE everything was free and runing straight. belt tracked well etc. They said NH does not warrant a belt not even for 1 minute once installed.. I liked my dealer till now but now I was peeved.. I got on belts Global and ordered 2 Kevlar Belts for 34. each. Installed one after 2 day free delivery and no sales tax. Belt has been running for over 20 hours and no issue.. I think the belt was bad.. moral of story.. DO NOT buy NH belts.
