Hi all
Back in fall I posted a problem with Caddy starting to miss only when it ran over 40 or 50 miles. It never lit a check engine lite. No codes in computer. I was never stuck because I'd let it set a short time and would start and run sometime rough and sometime run as though nothing was wrong. I got a lot of good input here but, as weather got colder problem went away.....Untill the last couple warm days. It's back! Caddy has vet engine in it.
The first time it stalled out I got a dash lite that said something like, "low engine oil level". I was on side of road and checked oil; Full. I tried car again and it ran good. This happened one more time and I replaced the engine oil level sensor. After replacing sensor the car is now running bad. Good question would be; Why? Anyway... I got a code from the car this time. "Low resolution pulse failure". Then it gave;
1 . 42 EST Grounded
2 . 36 high resolution failure
The computer guy cleared the codes and the "36 high resolution failure" came right back after starting.
It happened this morning and haven't been able to talk to my friendly Caddy guy yet.
Does anyone have any ideas? I really like that car and I am shooting for 250,000 miles before I set the bar higher. The fuel mpg ain't that bad either; for a giant rear wheel drive.
