955 Mid Mount Mower on a 4110

I have a chance to pick up a 60" mmm from a 955. The 955 came with mower new, the owner used it a couple times and it's been stored inside since then. Question is will this mower fit my 4110 without modifications. Its located a few states away so it would be nice to have an idea of what's involved before taking the drive.

Yes it will "fit", but will require lift and support brackets specific to your tractor. JD Parts shows the differences.

Thanks,,, looked at the 4110 bracketing on my laptop but have to look tomorrow on the bigger computer.

I noticed there is "Mower deck lift linkage (independent)" that has a hydraulic cylinder. Would this be used instead of using rear arms for lifting?

I suppose but you will need the 3rd function kit if you have a loader on-board and wand to maintain it's functionality while the mower is attached.

My buddy has a 4210 as was just in the process of adding the 3rd function kit for this reason. That's how I found out.

Not sure it's gonna be worth it after pricing out the 4110 mounting pieces.

Before the 7iron series came out for the 4000 series tractors they ran the same yellow mowers that came on the 55 series. Like others have said though, you're going to be spending a lot on lift linkages and probably a different PTO shaft to adapt to your 4110. With all that said I only have recent experience with the 42/43/4400 frame size which uses the third function and a lift cylinder to raise. Can't remember if the 4100/4110 uses a cylinder or lifts from the 3pt. Best bet would be to find a mower from a 4100/4110 that comes with everything or scour eBay for an installation kit. You're probably looking at $500-1000 from a dealer.
