I had a 99 Dodge 1/2 ton, I found out it had a problem with the fuel gauge when it ran out of gas showing 1/4 tank, this was 2 weeks after I bought it. It was "repaired" under warranty but I never trusted it, and tracked my miles since filling up after that.
One of them many reasons I was glad to get rid of that truck.
