On my 9n 's drain plug, there is a metal screen 'cylinder'. Well when I did the oil change, there was nothing on it. Good, I assume.

Question is... is the drain plug magnatized?

Thanks

I don't believe it is. That screen is dual purpose.. it keeps the big chunks out of the oil pickup tube, and also acts as a guide/stabilizer for the oil pickup tube.. Ther are notorious for breaking at a solder connection, then becoming hard to prime.

I guess you could clean it up real good and add one.

Not sure that I have ever haerd of it.. I'll ask around.
