I got tired of fiddle-futzing with retainer pins with keychain type circular spring clip retainers. On the 3-point arms adjustors these loose clips and pins were a pain. There are several locations where the pins are used. I switched these pins/clips for ball-lock pins and light braided retaining wires. The wire was cut to access length, attached to pin and tractor, eliminating dropped or lost pin. After 3 years of constant use and wear I'm convinced of the benefits of this device. The convenience pays for the cost of retrofitting. I even use these ball-lock pins on the toplink connection. So far, I've never had one slip out, get lost or jam up. Just to let you-all know.

Mark...sorry for the bad take-off on...a better mouse trap...I sometimes try to stretch subtlety to a point that loses the point.

Arthur,
I think we all have days like that. I do see in your post where you mentioned a Jack pin, how is that differant than a regular pin used for the 3ph hook up's ?

Mark...jack-pin is really the wrong definition of what I was describing. "BALL-LOCK" pin is the correct moniker. My apology to the Jack-Pin Society.

Thanks. Next time I lend my "not-so-expert" advice to tractormen of learning and intelligent curiosity, I will have my references and follow-ups in order. Thanks again.
