I've been planning out some mods for a while now and have finally started and have a few installed. Front and rear work lights, a 12 volt power outlet, some gauges, a permanent plug for my sprayer and on and on. Anyway all these things require power and I don't like to tap all that off the battery with inline fuses and such, so I bought a painless wiring fuse block, it is weatherproof with 4 ignition hot circuits and 3 constant hot circuits. Getting it installed wasn't too bad once the plastic cowling/trim was pulled from around the steering column. I mounted it about the same height as the factory fuse block but on the other side of the steering column, a small amount of trimming was required to the plastic trim to get it to fit around the relay on the fuse block.

To power the relay a ignition hot source is needed, since the key is so close I tapped on there. I ended up changing it after this picture and put the two wires together in one ring terminal but I forgot to take a picture.

I had a hard time deciding where to mount the lights but I think I like where they are, just need more seat time at night to be sure.
This picture shows the front lights, I must have forgot to take picture of the rear lights, I'll get one tomorrow.

The wiring from the front lights is ran through the ROPS and then along factory wiring to the switches. This picture with the seat removed shows how I ran the wiring along factory wiring.

I wanted to get a factory looking switch that matched the switch for the hazard lights but i couldn't find anything, so i went with toggle switches mounted by the range and cruise levers. I need to take a picture of the switches installed tomorrow also, but this picture shows the under side of the switches as I was wiring them.

Trying to find a good place for the 12 volt plug was tough since I wanted it near the fender but didn't want it to look out of place. Just to the left of the seat is a rubber grommet plugging a hole about 1" diameter, it just happens that it is the perfect size for the 12 volt plug. So this is where it's at for now, once I get my phone mount and get it set up and the phone charger connect we'll see if it will work but for now I am happy with it.

More mods will be coming but this is a start at least.

Nice job! Where did you mount your rear lights?

Thanks for the pictures, we all like pictures. The rear lights are something I need to add. I use my tractor to blow about 1/2 mile of drive/township road so I can get to work in the morning. My drive is lined by trees so I can plug a hole to get out in the morning, but when I get to the township road the trees are a little further from the road. Almost put her in the ditch more than once last year.

I did a search for wiring fuse blocks, I found a 7 circuit one but not a six. They are a little more expensive than I would have thought. Where did you get yours? I am also interested in the lights you decided on.

Perfect spot for the lights, nice and neat looking.

Nice mods and sure to be a Hugh benefit to your tractor. Can't go wrong with extra lighting and a power outlet is a must but the best part is your doing it the right way. Nice work

That is the same one I used. I bought it from genosgarage.com, it was a little more there but I buy filters for my truck from them and it's a small shop that has great customer service so I like to buy from them.

Waxman & 4shorts - thanks, I like doing mods like this and try to keep everything as factory looking as possible. Neat wiring is one of my big pet peeves, I probably used almost 100 tie wraps and about 50' of wire loom to try and blend it in with the stock wiring.

Nice work!!

Thanks.

I did some mowing last night and am very happy with how the lights worked. The only downsides are the forward lights get in your eyes when you turn around to look where your backing and all the lights attract a lot of bugs (not sure how you fix this though).
