First pic is a heron my father found. It has a bad leg as it either flew into something or a snapping turtle may have caught it. Either way, it gave me an opportunity to get some nice pictures.

Robert,
Thanks for the great pictures, especially the heron. We are bird watcher and those are a great "study".

I would like to know what camera you used.

PS
to all else who read this, if you post pic it would be a good addition to add to one's profile. I'm going to do that right now.

Robert,

Nice pics of the heron.

We have one that visits our pond occasionaly. Truly an amazing predator. Fun to watch on the hunt especially when it finds its prey. I tried to snap a few pics of ours once after it caught a sunfish that was about 5 times the size of its head. Too bad it was raining and the pics were too fuzzy to see the detail of the sunfish shaped bulge in the herons neck.

Awesome pics!!!!!

That big buck of yours is going to start making you some real money with the rack he's growing this year!!!!! Hope you're not the one who has to draw the staws. hahahaha

I have quite a few camera's so listing them all isn't going to happen. But the pics in this thread were taken with a Sony DSC-F828

We have a few herons like this one here all the time as well as green herons which are a lot of fun to watch. They play in the creek mostly though

We have never got into selling straws so I do not have to worry about collecting;)

We plan to use him as the main breeder buck this year but he gets real mean when he goes hardened antler. So we have to be careful where we put him and who takes care of the pen.
