At the end of the day, I was so tired I could barely lift my dinner fork. But lots of work was done and I could have never done it without my BX23. Thought I would share a few of the things my BX helped me with today. I am constantly reminded of what a value this machine has been to me.

Slow drive around the property at the crack of dawn with my coffee. Checking to see if any downed limbs from the rainstorm last night. A couple of limbs hauled to the brush pile.

Passing by a big apple tree, I just gotta have that apple near the top. It looked perfect for breakfast. Set the BH stabilizers and raised the FEL. Easy crawl up the bucket to reach the top of the tree. Probably not the smartest thing to do, but that apple sure was good.

Today begins the big Garage Sale that I am supposed to be supportive of. Why do women do these things anyway? Lots of items to get out on the driveway. Hauled planting pots, pressure washer, BBQ grill, push mower, and lots of other "junk" in the FEL. The fishing boat had to come out of the garage, so quickly removed the BH and hooked up to the boat and brought it out. I haven't had much time to fish this year, so a For Sale sign went on that as well.

An old basketball goal with steel post needed to come down and get sold. I haven't found time to get that done. Put the BH back on and after a few buckets, had the pole/concrete ball loose. Pushed the pole to one side and then grasped the whole unit with my BH and thumb, and placed it perfectly on the edge of the driveway to sell. Used the FEL to fill the hole with extra dirt from out back.

All of the new trees have been in the ground long enough for the T-posts to be removed. Hoping to sell the T-posts, I had to get them ready. With use of the FEL, the BH, and a loop of chain, I had 142 posts pulled before noon. Drove around and picked them up in the FEL and stacked them neatly near the driveway. Had them all sold for 33 cents a piece by 2 PM.

The split rail fence has been in a large pile for about 2 months. Took it all down during the highway widening project. Hauled a load with the FEL to the driveway as a sample of the big pile. 1000 feet of fence sold at 4 PM and used the FEL and Turf-Hauler trailer to haul them all out to the street to load on his flatbed trailer.

Maybe this garage sale deal isn't so bad after all.

Had a dozen people wanting to know if I would sell my tractor. All the wives just rolled their eyes. They just don't understand that it is not a TOY!

A small orphan boy from Bulgaria stopped by with his new adoptive parents. He was fascinated by the tractor. He just had to sit on it and pretend. It's hard to ignore a child's smile, so we went for a ride. He'll probably remember his first tractor ride for the rest of his life. He sure remembers the word Kubota as that is the only thing he kept repeating as they left.

The BX helped me put things away as it got dark. The boat did not sell today so put that back in the garage. We worked our way back to the lower garage with the lights leading the way. It will be ready when I am in the morning for another day of chores. Even though I had been off and on the seat most of the day, it was hard to leave the BX for the night. Like an old friend.

Sentimental....maybe....but I'm sure most of you have similar stories every day with your Kubotas. Muscles are sore but life is good with a Kubota as your helping hand.

Hey, good story!

My Saturday was a little like that. I'd told one neighbor that I'd use my pulverizer roller to roll in some fescue for him. Easy job.

As I was driving back to my yard, friend across the street was in front of his house with an axe and shovel chopping out some tree roots that were on the surface.

Drove over and used the FEL and a chain to try to rip some of them out, but they were too tough. Dropped a scarifier on the box blade and used that with some success.

Told him I'd build a scarifier with a sharpened edge to try to knife through those that are left that he wants removed. Would be lots easier than trying to axe them. Will do that in the next week or so.

My BX2200 is therapy for me!

My wife is constantly amazed at my weekend routine of getting up before the crack of dawn and getting out and getting busy. The truth is I look so forward to getting on one of the Bota's that I cannot stay in the bed. I am either hauling hay, mowing, bushhogging, hauling dirt, digging a trench or something. Then there is always the maintenance to be done on the equipment. Living a dream, I tell ya, living a dream. Can't help but grin!!!

No time on the Tractor for the past week. First part of the week, I was studying for a licensing exam for my profession (family therapy). Over the weekend, rained, ground too wet. With my R4 tires, if the ground is wet, I really tear up the lawn, and there's no good way to get from the shed to the woods I am working on without covering quite a bit of lawn.

Today, clear skies, sunny, highs in the low 60s. Perfect. Except, the ground is still wet. I want to remove 10-20 Buckthorns each weekend for the next 5 to 8 weekends, depending on the weather (Buckthorns range in size from 15 feet tall to maybe 30, most are in the 20-25 foot range, with trunks that are 3 to 8 inches in diameter). I wish I had a bigger cart for this (still using last year's JD "10p" which I bought mostly for hauling small amounts of dirt and mulch when I had a riding mower that couldn't pull more). Now, I end up tying ridiculous amounts of branches, limbs and trunk pieces to this little "wagon" (that's what my wife calls it).

Maybe next weekend I'll do a final short mow for the season, then put the FEL on (and will hopefully have a backblade by then) and start my fall grading work.

ON SATURDAY,My neighbor asked me to help lug a woodstove in his house .After a closer look at the 700lb beast on a pallet,in the rear of his pick up ,i beat feet it back home for my 23 and my forks. It struggled a little lifting the monster ,but got the job done ,i was even able to set it right in on the cellar floor.never straining a muscle,we rolled it on pipes the remaining way.Once againlittle BOTA saved my day!

Am I reading your post right? ... you lifted a 700# pallet out of a pickup truck with forks clamped to the front of the FEL bucket of a BX23? ...

Only thing about that garage sale is the sale of the $.33 T-posts. WTH aren't those about $2.50-$3.00 each these days? Sure as I smile about collecting $46.86 for selling those 142, in 2 weeks I'd pay $50 plus tax for 20 that I just discovered I need. :(

Good Story!

BARELY, The fellow i was helping pushed back on it while i tilted it.I got it out of the truck lowered it to a foot off the ground ,and took it to his cellar and placed it inside the door. Now the kicker.I made his wife ride on the back hoe for ballast !I got her done though!!Ill admit if it was 25 lbs heavier ,i couldnt have done it,and i couldnt have lifted it off the truck bed without a little tip back by my neighbor.Once up the hydraulics held it.
