Congrats on your new purchase!
I was REALLY REALLY hoping you didn't buy a new cub. That dealer was correct and was totally honest with you, I would have a lot of respect for that man after he said that.
There's only two makers of mowers worth buying.
1. John Deere x3xx to x7xx series.
2. Anything made by Husqvarna.
Stay as far away from MTD as possible. 2 17 Who Makes What? – All Zero-Turn, Lawn And Garden Tractor Manufacturers
Everytime I look at an MTD product and I start to ask questions I find that they won't last.
A Husqvarna from a dealer is one to buy, they have better decks and some are fitted with a better trans.
Just cutting grass, get Husqvarna, planning on working ground and pushing snow, buy a x5xx or x7xx series JD. Dollar for dollar Husqvarna is VERY hard to beat.
Stay away from the JD D/L lines, there no good and over priced.
