A fine sunday, a friend, and the tractor

Today I helped my neighbor spread manure on his big garden plot. He has a huge garden every year and gives all his neighbors BAGS of vegetables all summer. He's getting a little older and it is hard for him to do really heavy work. He loves my new 3720 and always "pats her" and tells me to "fire her up" when I pass by. After using the tractor to make short work of an all-day task, he told me to go catch a fish or two in his stock tank. This tank is totally isolated on his land and nobody fishes it! I was tickled and, of course, had a ball catching bass in this little pond that is just loaded with hungry fish.
At the end of the day we had a beer, admired his pretty, freshly tilled garden plot, bragged about the fish and admired the tractor. I can't imagine a nicer way to spend a sunday.

Always a great feeling after helping someone with the tractor.

Reminds me of my late Grandfather who had a "mule" pond - a small
pond - on his farm in eastern NC.

AAAAAAH what a great feeling! It's what makes life worth living! I really hope that you enjoy many more of those days with the neighbor, my older neighbor just passed away last year and he was always doing the garden thing like your neighbor, we used to stand at the fence between our places and visit, ya I sure miss those days.
