Well, some of you may remember when I was on quite a bit. It's been a while, but here's what's up: My wife of 22 years has decided she wants a new husband (she already has one all picked out!) /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif, so my beloved BX-2200 is up for sale. Gees, no idea how much transport would be. I would make a guess that if you could set up a backhaul LTL, you could get it moved for 2-300. Its a WAG, but if you got serious, maybe I could make a couple phone calls. biggest thing would be getting it loaded, etc.

As an update, I talked to my dealer and he says I should be asking at least 11, so I think i should be able to move it pretty easy at 10,500. And if it's an easy sale before I pay for some ads, i may even take 10. My brother recently sold an 85 B6100 with a FEL and MMM (Looking gorgeous) for $7000, so i think i'm pretty close.

If anyone thinks differently, let me know...but I'll prob start advertising it locally at 11 and see what happens.

I sure hope that you don't have to part with the Vette. It sure is a beauty and a rare one at that. Life can sure be a bummer some times, but remember, that brighter days are just around the corner. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

In the grand scheme of things, it's just a machine. A beautiful one, but a machine just the same. I have 3 kids to raise and I'll be needing to concentrate on them to get them through this. There will be another vette. I got it 90% restored...just a few minor things left and somebody's gonna have a cherry on their hands.

Sorry to hear of the breakup. Keep this in mind also. Too many changes during this time will take a big toll on you and the kids. There's already a major change in the marriage situation, but add to that a change in housing, cars (and/or toys) getting sold, tractor getting sold, furniture getting sold and/or divided up, etc., and suddenly so much that's familiar is no longer in your lives.

So, unless you're in dire financial straights as a result of this whole thing, try not to sell off too much "stuff" too quickly. Some of it can be a good way for you to spend some quality time with the kids tinkering, working, playing, teaching, etc.

I'll second the bandit. When my parents split I think I was 19 or 20 so I understood or thought I did, but my kid brother was only 11 and he had one heck of a time coping with everything, dividing and moving and selling, the immediate drastic change was pretty tramatic. The split wasn't a great one to say the least and like the junkman said fighting only made a terrible matter worse. My brother only said about 3 words for about 6 months no matter what we tried. Finally, I was able to get him to loosen up one day out of the blue when we were in my buddy's garage working on my pick-up. I think that tinkering in the garage and working around the new house fixing it up definitly helped him and myself. My only regret is that I wasn't able to spend more time with him, my mom kinda forced me off to college so as not to set any of us kids back. And there were no silver spoons lying around either. Paid and I'm still paying for school, I just wish there were more hours in a day... Good Luck and best wishes to you and your kids...
