I am not mechanically, but I know something was wrong when the arms of my backhoe didn't want to respond to any command or toggle of the buttons. I noticed a stream of hydraulics fluid and when I open the button box I saw that it was indeed leaking from the first thing thingys (whatever you call it) and the far back one. best leak.jpgleak jd 2.jpgleak jd.jpg

I am willing to learn some new terms and use whatever method to fix it. I am with a Non Profit so you know money is not the thing.

First rule of taking close up pictures to identify parts is to take a follow up picture that is farther back so others viewing it have some perspective on what they are looking at. That said I am assuming that the thingy's is the backhoe control valve. It will be a series of valves stacked together, you could be leaking from valve to valve, or at the spool, or have a cracked housing. Break out the pressure washer and give it a good clean job to see if that will help lead you to the proper area. Good luck.
