I was moving some dirt around today and having no problem. All of a sudden my bucket tilt stopped working. I could still raise and lower the bucket, but it wouldn't tilt. It would just hang down, and I could actually pivot it manually-by hand.

Then I got it to where I could get the bucket flat on the ground, and the bucket would then pivot, enough so that it would lift the tractor. I would then raise it up with the bucket all the way back, and when I would tilt it forward, it would just drop and dangel. Is this a low fluid level issue? I wouldn't think its a pump thing, as the bucket lift was strong. However right before I lost my daylight, the 3 point decided it wasn't going to raise either.

Any thoughts....................thanks alot!!

It doesn't sound like a low oil issue until you mention that 3 point quit working. It sounds more like a leaking hose, but you should be able to see that. Other possibility is a blown cylinder ram seal.

You did not mention the cylinder rams for the tilt. When you are able to physically flop the bucket back and forth, take into account there is no resistance in the cylinder (Fluid leak / open line) For the cylinder to start working again in order to lift the front of the tractor indicates to me there is a problem with the bypass valve allowing the hydraulit to bleed out! Just a thought on my part though...

evidently it was a seal problem and low fluid problem. the bucket tilt would work when on the ground because no fluid was in the other lift cylinders.

when i added fluid, the bucket tilt functioned somewhat, but wouldn't hold pressure. i was driving back to the barn with the bucket low, when it lost pressure and hit the ground, and bent back under, destroying both cylinders, cracking the end cap on one and bending the s**t out of the ram on the other.

although refurbished, it (tractor) had a 90 day warranty which i am only 1/3rd of the way into. dealer said he thought he could get the supplier to make good on the cylinders, as the FEL was brand new.

still...........pretty much sucks, as i was in the middle of a project:mad:
