A little history of my Kioti dealer..

I was talking to my Kioti dealer about buying the new woods bh80x hoe and thought id ask him a few questions to share in regards to the Kioti brand. He has been selling Kioti tractors for 21 years now. Has sold over 600 Kiotis and guess how many hes had back for any major repairs? ...... None... I was amazed at that stat..He said any problems he has had have been all minor issues... I asked him what kinds of hours his customers have on their Kiotis, he said he has customers around the 8000 hour mark.. Hes actually trying to buy one back from one of his original customers but the guy wont sell it... I asked about the newer ck models as far as hours and his numbers are like those of the dealers on here on TBN , around the 500 hour mark. Theyve only been out since 2003.. His biggest seller as of lately is the dk65 with the cab, he says they are selling like crazy.. I keep telling him he should join TBN because he has alot of knowledge to offer, as does many of our TBN dealers..He keeps saying yes, perhaps he is computer shy...hehehe. The dealer is Rodick Farm Machinery in Schroon Lake NY.. This dealer has been excellent to deal with and id recommend them to anyone whos interested in a Kioti..

Re: A little history of my Kioti dealer..

Hello Highbeam, he said it was a beauty, He said the thumb covers the whole bucket... Its specs are 125.5in reach, 3,780lbs bucket digging force, 2,480lbs dipperstick digging force. It takes a 9-36" bucket with a digging depth of 96.5 in for a 2' flat bottom. His pricing was right in line with Ricks ... Sorry Rick if you were closer id buy from you too...hehehe... I told my wife i was getting it and she didnt put up any fight...Can you belive that? Im still waiting another month though...

Re: A little history of my Kioti dealer..

I looked at the Woods BH80-X when I bought my tractor just days ago, it's very similar in specs to the KB2385 which fit my DK45s just fine, and was put together as a package deal.

The 2385 reach is 128.5 in., digging depth 102 in., digging force 3550 lbs, dipper stick force 2225 lbs.

Most of the other specs are similar between these two.

I don't think they have been in the US for that long have they?

Re: A little history of my Kioti dealer..

According to their sales literature they have been marketed in this country for the past 17 years. The DK series were introduced in 2000.

Albmn10 is correct
His dealer must have sensed a good thing 21 years ago /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Kioti has been in the US since 1985.
Here's a link to Kioti's website Kioti - United States history

Re: A little history of my Kioti dealer..

I own a Woods BH80-X. It is a very nice unit, but the thumb does not cover the width of the bucket. I also find it VERY hard to believe that of 600 tractors, not one has been back for major repairs. Not a reflection on the brand, I would be as skeptical if it were any other. Maybe his customers are having the repairs done elsewhere?

Re: A little history of my Kioti dealer..

The dealer referenced in the earlier part of the post is out of business (at least as far as Kioti - I can't say for certain if they are completely closed or not), and his inventory is now at Moore's Corners in Granville, NY
Coincidentally, Moore's is where I purchased my DK-35 this past May.

Re: A little history of my Kioti dealer..

Rodick Farm Machinery is still in business. He is restoring older tractors, which has been a growing part of their business over the past years. Hate to see them go away from Kioti, as they were a great aset to their customers,Kioti, and to New York dealers that knew them. Good luck Bud, thank you for all the years of help! trac

Re: A little history of my Kioti dealer..

We bought our DK65 from Bud in '02, 8 months later the front left wheel broke right off, it looked like a matter of some bad casting. Not sure If I would call that minor or not. I called Bud right up and the next day he had taken an axle out of a DK65 on the yard and brought it up and fixed ours. I was very happy with that.
