I got to tell this story. It was pretty serious at first but was a little funny afterward.
Today myself and by brother-in-law Al (alan40) and his little son were out and about stopping in a tractor dealers looking at implements, trailer and getting some ideas for modifications. Kind of like a boys day out. We were outside looking and talking. There was a guy that had a truck new style F-250 light duty pickup with a trailer. On the trailer it had a TC35 with loader loaded in the front. This guy was trying to get a TC21D with loader on to the same trailer. All of a sudden I here the small crash noise followed by a "whoa" and a loud crash. I looked over and saw nothing but tires and under carriage. Al and I went running over. Thankfully the guy was O.K. The first time I had seem (live) a tractor on its side. The second thing out of his mouth (first thing out was yeh I'm o.k.) was "These R-4 as good as they are aren't worth a sh*t on wood".
A few things I noted after the mishap.
1)Two tractors on an 8K trailer. Not good, but didn't cause the mishap.
2)After loading on the TC35 he did not slide the ramps close together to accommodate the smaller track width of the TC21D. So the tire were half on the ramp. Not good.
3)Ready for this one. The loader was up at its full lift hieght. So when it slipped of the ramp it flipped on it's side.
4)This is even better. The guy operating the TC21D was the head sales person! I must say he was pretty embarrassed.
I don't wish harm to anybody, but he had it coming. He was not wearing a set belt and is lucky he didn't get seriously hurt. Goes to show that being on pavement that is flat is not a cause to forget safety.
I did as if he had any deals on any slightly used TC21D /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif.
