It has been in the 60's and 70's this week, but may get down to 32 Friday.

Coobie, I was about to say the same thing. I was thinking about taking the kids skiing on Sunday until I saw the forecast. I think I'll clean some guns instead. Spring will get here in April if we are lucky. Last year Lake Superior still had ice on it in June.

When I was still driving OTR I saw people ice fishing for the first time in Petoskey, Michigan. They had their trucks, huts and a fire on the ice.

Wish people would stop talking like it's warming up outside. :laughing: Not negative here, but cold enough for me. Lets just say it will be a couple months before we start thinking about planting anything.

You are having a heat wave! -24F forecast for tonite with 25 mph north winds gusting to 35mph. There is going to be some drifting I will need to deal with in the morning.

Well, this winter has been the warmest, on record, since I got here in '82. The ice went out of my little lake ten days ago - its a month ahead of schedule and we have been having wx around 15-20F above normal. I was hoping for more snow but I think now its too late - we better get more rain or it will be a terrible fire season, late summer & fall.

So far we have had a snow fall of 2 1/2 inches and it melted within three days. Normal snow fall here is 45".
